Marble, gold, and silver are common for awards and plaques, but few people realize that they can (are typically are) too expensive for the budget. That’s especially so when the client wants something “more along their branding and company’s personality." That sounds more like a custom piece.
However, if custom is not possible, distributors have to find alternatives to the heavy marble awards to stand on desks or the shiny silver plaque that hangs up on the wall. However, there are ways to get that look without having to deal with the hefty weight, as well as avoid having to spend large amounts of money.
Precious Metal Plaques
Precious Metal Plaques -awards with the coloring and design of precious metals without having to break the budget.
Our Precious Metal Plaques are full-color laminated plaques, featuring silver and gold nameplates with complementary borders and bevels.
This means even though you have a specific look your client wants you both still have options, allowing you to closely follow those branding guidelines if you need.
You can mix and match the simulated plate colors with border colors.
The border colors available are:
- Blue Marble
- Green Marble
- Red Marble
- Walnut
- Rosewood
- Black
As you can see, you can mix and match to best fit your branding or even what you like aesthetically.

Steps to Build Your Precious Metal Plaque
Step 1: Choose your border color and texture: Blue Marble, Green Marble, Red Marble, Walnut, Rosewood, or Black.
Step 2: What color and pattern for the plaque plate?
Step 3: What is the copy for the plaque? Employee of the Month? Innovation Award? Training Program Recognition? There are countless options.
Step 4: Logo. You can also opt for not having the logo on there, but most want the logo and the company name.
Step 5: Who. In the beginning, we just need to know the quantity. Later on the process, we will have you send us the list of the names of who gets these awards. That personalization gives it an extra touch that increases the likeliness of the award being effective.
Step 6: Wall hang or easel to sit on a desk? We have both options, allowing for choice based on the recipient’s workstation and typical day.
That’s it. Just 6 steps, besides the usual pricing and shipping info, but building the Precious Metal Plaques are easy.
