It’s the holidays! So, we decided to get into the holiday spirit by celebrating it our own way (and no, I’m not talking about insights into what Bruce Fox does for the holidays) – I’m talking about giving back to our Distributor partners.

We want to end the year with specials that make you feel special (it’s the holidays, we can be corny).

Don’t Fear the Tariffs

I was inspired by Dave’s blog – in topic and imagery. The main image of the blog has a reaper, which is rather poignant for his argument.

Despite the perfect symbolism for the blog, I can’t help the Blue Oyster Cult song “Don’t Fear the Reaper” playing in my head each time I look at the photo.

Thanksgiving – Ways to Show Your Employees You Care

Posted by Kristina Hublar on Nov 20, 2018 1:52:00 PM

Estimated Read Time: 10 Minutes

What does Thanksgiving mean to you? Having too much turkey and pumpkin pie? Spending time with your friends and family? Rushing from house to house, trying to make all the different get-togethers while wondering why you do this to yourself? Or is Thanksgiving just the day before Black Friday?

Thanksgiving means something different for many people; however, it did not start as all of those things. Thanksgiving started as the most basic definition – giving thanks.

Being thankful and celebrating what you have by giving thanks for it.

That’s the definition I want to remind everyone about – be thankful for what you have; whether that’s your friends, your family, your health, a roof over your head, or even your employees. Everyone has something to be thankful for.

Meet The Box

Have you met The Box yet? It’s a nice box.

But seriously, this is not a box that you ship things in and then hand over to your cat. The Box is new to our lineup and has quickly become a popular DYR item.

This could be because of its ability to define a brand in a small but professional manner or due to its recognition prowess while taking up minimal desk space.

Storytelling might have changed through the years, but it certainly is not dead. Every person, brand, and product has a story behind it. Whether it’s about a group of people starting a company in a garage and growing into a multi-billion dollar company or if it’s an artist inspired by the world around him with an entrepreneurial spirit; every brand has a story to tell.

Why do you ever need a plaque?

  • Giving one to an employee to recognize their years of service or for a job well done?
  • As a plaque award or personalized plaque that is given to a special person or group?
  • You’re looking for perpetual plaques to hang on a wall, recognizing and memorializing people?

Business Christmas Gifts

Posted by Kristina Hublar on Sep 18, 2018 12:49:00 PM

Estimated Read Time: 8 Minutes

The passage of time seems to speed up once school starts back up. We jump from bathing suits to hanging up Halloween decorations and then we are having family over for Thanksgiving. In between it all, we’re rushing around doing our typical day-today, holiday shopping sprees, and all of the family and friends’ gatherings. During that time, when everyone is so wrapped up and sprinting between social engagements, Christmas pounces.

No one has time for the impending holiday, at yet it’s the holiday we all prepare for and buy, sell, and sell more. It’s one of the most profitable times of the year for a reason.

So, what are you doing for Christmas? Have you talked with your partners, contacts, and clients yet? If not, then you’re already putting yourself at a disadvantage this season.

Once Upon a Time…

Posted by Dave Miller on Sep 4, 2018 12:05:00 PM

Estimated Read Time: 7 Minutes

…we were a species of storytellers.

Prior to the development of written language, telling stories was the only way to reflect and pass knowledge and history from generation to generation. Stories were used to explain events and natural occurrences like fire, storms, and thunder. They related myths, legends, and gods in a way that bound people to common beliefs and cultures. Stories, in essence, were much of what made us human.

And until not so long ago, we were pretty good at telling stories. Bedtime stories, ghost stories, war stories, jokes—all served a purpose to share and connect with other human beings.

Heck, an endless parade of theme songs from TV shows are introductory stories—The Jeffersons, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Flintstones, Cheers, The Addams Family. In fact, think about the first lines in the lyrics for The Brady Bunch, The Beverly Hillbillies, and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

“Here's a story, of a lovely lady…”

“Come and listen to my story about a man named Jed…”

“Now this is a story all about how…”

Yep…stories—literally.  I’ll give you a minute to finish singing.

Business Branding: The Importance and Impact of Company Branding

Posted by Kristina Hublar on Aug 28, 2018 7:53:00 AM

Estimated Read Time: 20 Minutes

Your branding defines who you are – it states your mission, your name, your unique image, and who you are through all of your touchpoints. Branding also is to establish a consistent theme, voice, and standard throughout the company and various channels. However, at the end of the day, company branding is to establish a significant and differentiated presence in the market that attracts and retains loyal customers and employees.

It doesn’t matter if you are a Fortune 500 company or a small business. Nor does it matter the industry you are in - branding is vital for your business. You may be a B2B focusing on excellent customer service and cost-effective products or you may be a B2C that specializes in a quality product and upscale atmosphere; however, no matter the mission statement, your branding sets the stage for people’s expectations.

Your brand is how the public, your clients, and even your employees, perceive your business. So, your business’ branding should never be neglected.
